James P. Axiotis is an international producer with over 30 years of experience developing, casting, and producing film and television content for theatrical and streaming platforms, both scripted and reality based. As an immigrant who was adopted from an orphanage in Athens, Greece when he was a one year old, he has always loved to keep a global outlook at the projects he creates. Possessing a keen eye for original ideas and an uncompromising ear for storytelling, the projects in Axiotis’ resume have spanned a wide range of genres, subjects, and budgets for major studios and networks.
PRODUCERS WITHOUT BORDERS
When James first heard about Producers Without Borders (PWB), he was all in. He loved the idea of connecting like-minded producers across the world and wanted to help grow this global network to bridge the gap in production worldwide and make film collaboration across borders easier. In May of 2021, to help achieve this personal goal, James worked directly with the founder of PWB, Kayvan Mashayekh, and funded the first 5 dinners, making him a legacy sponsor. In the last two years alone, numerous events were held across the US and Europe, including in Los Angeles, Cannes, Venice, and London. To spread the word about these events, James with his company also produced and donated videos showcasing them for publicity on the PWB website and across social media.
Although no longer sponsoring events for PWB, James still believes that we are always better when connected together, and he continues to work to this day in his own business to connect creators around the globe so their stories can be made and shared.
